NATIONAL CENTER FOR COLD WATER SAFETY
Paddlesport participants should prepare with wet or dry-suit when water temperature is 60° or below. Cold Water Shock occurs at that temperature and is the cause of many paddlesport related drownings. Water 70° or less should be approached with caution. www.coldwatersafety.org
We believe in the mission and goals for the National Center for Cold Water Safety. Please take some time to watch this fantastic video on cold water safety, produced by a person we consider a mentor in our industry, Moulton Avery. Check out the website, the Vimeo videos and all the wonderful safety information available. They are a non-profit organization and support is welcomed if you’re inspired to provide.
