Guided Paddle
Our group trips are led by ACA certified instructors and trip leaders. Guided paddles are perfect for beginners and people who prefer the guidance and support of our experienced staff. All safety equipment is provided to ensure a fun and safe trip.
You will learn about Shark River’s history, wildlife and current happenings from our knowledgeable and energetic guides who are there to foster a learning environment and ensure an easy and memorable kayak experience.
*We have a four person minimum for guided paddles.

Our focus for each guided kayak adventure will vary from eco-tour, early morning golden-hour, or sunset to full moon adventure. Please see our event calendar for the date, time and type of paddle adventures we have planned. The “on-water” time is around an hour, but that can vary depending on the stamina of the group and conditions of the river while we are on it.
With advanced planning we may be able to accommodate and schedule private guided paddles for groups of at least four. Typically we need at least two weeks notice.

Allow us to bring you along for an adventure of learning about Shark River and the wildlife we see all around. Our guides LOVE their job and LOVE Shark River. You will leave this tour knowing more than you did before you joined us.

We love Shark River for a summer evening sunset paddle, a bird-filled golden hour on a warm and still morning, or the always memorable, “limited editions” and highly anticipated full moon rise!
A summer isn’t truly fulfilled without one of these wonderous kayak trips under your paddle belt. Please see our event descriptions for more details about these fun and special adventures.
These tend to sell out since our maximum is 8 people per trip. Be sure to book your spot before it’s gone!

Looking for something fun to do with the family? Maybe some team building fun?
We’re thinking graduation present, summer employee appreciation outing, family reunions, birthday celebrations, or heck, any good reason to get together outside for some paddle time!!
At this time, we have a four person minimum and a ten person maximum to schedule a private guided tour.
Kayaking is doable for most people! Our guided trips are great for kids 10+ and beginners, so bring along a few generations and let us guided your family event to guaranteed fun with the fam!

*If* we have the availability in our schedule and we are properly staffed we may be able to “add a guide” to your hourly rental. We have a maximum of five participants to one trip guide.
This service is provided for $60 per guide (one hour trip) and must be in coordination with renting at least two of our kayaks.
We do not provide a rental or group discount for our Add a Kayak Guide “add-on”.
Please join one of our scheduled Guided Paddles, or plan your own private group paddle to be more cost effective.
Your Add a Kayak Guide is a certified ACA instructor and will be there to lead the way and provide as-needed instruction.
Our guides also know a ton about Shark River the ecology, its history and so much more.
